Weekly Sunday rambles

Unless otherwise stated all walks are about 7 miles long

Consideration for other walkers

When walking with a group, do not walk ahead of the leader.   He or she

cannot control the pace if irresponsible walkers are forging ahead.   As 

groups are usually made up of varying walking abilities please consider those 

at the back of the party.   Leaders especially, are reminded that they must

set and control the pace of the walk to reflect these differing abilities, and must

not allow the pace to be dictated by a few members of the party who may tend to

force the pace.   Failure to observe these considerations may deter members from fully

enjoying the walks.

For all walks please bring refreshments.   There are normally pubs on route but we cannot guarantee the

availability of food.   If you wish to join at the start of the ramble you should ring the walk leader in the

week prior to the ramble.  When walking with a group, do not walk ahead of the leader.

29th July takes us to Astwood Bank & Studley, 

for a 8.5mile walk led by Paul & Denise who can be contacted

 on 01527 450631.   The meeting point is the Crabbs Cross car

park at 10am

5th August is to adventure around Bromsgrove, led by

Dave Povey who can be contacted on 07973 347651

The meeting point is Saunders Park at 9.30am

Saturday 11th August 2018 is our Coach trip to Bristol

An easy 7 mile walkd from Pill to Bristol, time in Bristol,

then visit Bristol Balloon Festival fro 6pm, Mass Hot Air

Balloon lift and 9pm fireworks

Pick is at Crabbs Cross 9am and Artrix 9.15am 

Saturday 18th August 2018 is a 11 mile linear walk

from Droitwich Spa to Worcester

Walk via Droitwich Canal & River Severn

Return from Worcester to Droitwich by train

We meet at the Artrix at 9.00am and the leader is the

indomitable Dave, who can be contacted on 07973347651

19th August takes us to Inkberrow & Abbots Morton

for an 8 mile walk led by Julie & Geoff, who can be contacted

on 07816828298.   We meet at the Artrix at 9.30am, or you

may meet at the starting point, the Grey Gable Surgery car park

WR7 4BW at 9.45am

26th August is a 7 miler around Illmington

led by Peter, who can be contacted on 0121 4306706

The meeting point is the Dog cum Harvester at 

Mappleborough green at 9.30am

Saturday 8th September is an 11 mile walk

Malvern End to End

Car share to Malvern, and a minibus to start (£10)

Numbers are limited to 16 and so book your place

with Paul.   Meet at Crabbs Cross at 8am, and your

leader is Jean who can be contacted on 01527 584301

9th September is a 6 mile walk around Avoncroft

where there is an open day.  Meet at the artrix at 9.30am

and the leaders are Jean and Maureen who can be contacted on

14th to 18th September takes us to Yorkshire for the Three Peaks

Staying in Ingleton and enjoying one peak per day

23rd September "A" walk is a 10 mile walk from

Blakedown to Kinver.   The leader is Diana Holt and the

meeting point is the Artrix at 9.30am

23rd September "B" takes us to Birmingham Parks

for a 7 mile walk.   The leaders are Maggie and Maxine

is to be the Artrix at 9.30am

30th September is to Beckford (Bredon Hill)

for a 7 mile walk led by Annie who can be contacted on
